Review | The First DoraHacks Blockchain Security Challenge Ended with 12 Top Teams Splitting the $10,000 Prize
On October 13, 2018, the first security challenge, hosted by DoraHacks and co-hosted by Block72, OK Capital, FRM Capital and BACapital, was held in Beijing Yunji courtyard. On-site guidance was offered by teams or individuals from Knownsec, 360, NGC, Enotes, Chaitin, Slowmist, CertiK, Polyswarm, SECC, DigApis, TASchain, Armors, Cheetah, Beosin and other domestic Blockchain security organizations. Finally, 12 top teams finished 15 challenges of different difficulty and split 10,000 dollars.
R3KAPIG team, made up of three Hackers good at cryptography, won the champion of DoraHacks Security Hack 2018 and got the 1450 USDT prize. Yu Guorui, a member of the team, believed that the challenges in this competition were of very high quality and he became a loyal fan of DoraHacks through this hackathon.
The runner-up Tianshu team is made up of 4 students from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, who are very active in competitions at home and abroad. Their team was the only one that finished the Q4 game logic challenge correctly in this competition and successfully won the 1100 USTD prize. Zhao Yifei believed that people who set challenges showed them loopholes which were difficult to meet and have actually occurred through challenges in this competition, which made them feel surprised and gain a lot.
TTY team from Tsinghua university won the third place of this competition. They finished the Q12 game challenge of extreme difficulty. Lin Min, a member of the team, suggested that they found the ways of solving a problem very important through review after the game. Particularly, three challenges from SECBIT benefited them a lot.
Besides, Wangjian, CEO of eNotes, shared his way of solving the Q5 private key protection challenge (an open challenge). Blockelf, the first team to submit the correct answer, employed the document cryptography, which became the best technical solution. Zorro Man team also put up with a very clever solution and the solution of R3KAPIG team was direct, effective and of extremely low cost.
