Review | DoraHacks GHS 2018 In Bangalore Ended — A Fierce Contest for 30 Hacker Teams

Beijing Time 5:00 p.m. on October 7, 2018, DoraHacks GHS in India — DoraHacks India Blockchain Rising Hack Bangalore has successfully concluded. The hackathon was launched in Bangalore, also known as the Silicon Vally in India, attracting around 200 hackers.

30 projects were conceived in this hackathon, including Stable Coins MakerDAO + Venmo application, Fiat + Crypto Hegde strategy, solar-powered Bitcoin hardware mining, Hacker-Linkedin, and Agricultural P2P + smart contract. Hari Pranav and his team from School of Engineering and Technology of CMR University won this competition.

On October 6, several prominent hacker leaders and experienced community KOL invited by DoraHacks put on a blockchain technology related workshop and offered detailed answers to hacker’s questions.

During the hack, supervisors worked in depth with all participants and provided guidance for key questions concerning their projects.

Hackers enjoyed the eagerly anticipated band performance near midnight.

The pulsing rhythm of Indian songs helped hackers to restore vigor after continuous intensive work so that they could keep on brainstorming and writing programs in the deep of night. Over a hundred hackers and volunteers exerted themselves till the early morning on October 7.

On October 7, each team presented its project finished within 24 hours to guests, judges and other hacker teams at the Demo Fair.

Considering both judges’ votes and peer evaluation result, three projects which used blockchain technology to deal with traffic data, open source storage projects and technician employment won and split the great reward. DoraHacks also awarded certificates to all excellent hackers and volunteers.

DoraHacks GHS 2018 @Bangalore was widely praised by judges and hackers. Anurag Arjun, co-founder and CPO of Matic Network, pointed out that a great deal of innovative projects arose in this activity and Blockchain Rising Hackathon would bring in a lot of new blood to blockchain development in India. He also hoped that DoraHacks would hold Hackathon not only in Bangalore, but in other Indian cities as well.
