It has been a great two weeks; we have successfully raised over $18,000 from 63 savvy investors on Republic. We’re very excited to see new investors and hackers joining our journey.
DoraHacks Co-hosted a Blockchain Hackathon with Wanxiang Group in Shanghai, China
Last weekend, DoraHacks helped Wanxiang Group host and organize its blockchain hackathon during Shanghai International Blockchain Week. It was hugely successful! There were more than 120 blockchain developers, formed into 28 teams, attending the event. The theme of the hackathon was “The Application of Blockchain in Automotive Industry”. Hackers spent a total of 26 hours, from the ground up, creating innovative projects and were determined to win the six awards provided by Wanxiang Group.
The StormBird team won the top prize in the competition with its excellent creativity and high degree of completion. The award included RMB 50,000 and four tickets to the rest of the summit. Their project, “Karma Car Owner Token”, uses blockchain technology to tokenize automobile assets, allowing low friction in the market for automobile trading, sharing, getting a mortgage and so on.
