How to Apply for Avalanche Hackathon@Asia

Now, Avalanche and Dorahacks are launching the Avalanche Asia Hackathon! Welcome all developers and early stage projects to join us, whether you’re from Asia, other parts on the planet, Mars and Krypton :)

All kinds of dApps and projects including DeFi, Web3, Metaverse, NFT, Gamefi, Infrastructure & tooling and anything beyond our imagination are welcome to join the Hackathon, with no regional limit.

This is an investment based Hackathon where winning projects will get a share of the prize pool of over 5,000,000 USD which comes in the form of collective investments from many prominent venture funds and players in the industry.

How to Submit My Project? (In 5 min)

*IMPORTANT: Please contact @hackerlinkofficial on Telegram to verify your submission, otherwise you’d not receive the prize at the end if any.

1. Open https://hackerlink.io, and click on the right corner to log in. (If you’re new to Hackerlink, login with your GitHub or Email. If you encounter a mobile verification process, you may skip.)

2. Go to https://hackerlink.io/grant/avalanche/ and click “Submit BUIDL” and connect your wallet (the best way to do it is using Metamask extention on Chrome). Remember to set up Avalanche network in your wallet (Here’s how).

*IMPORTANT: Please prepare some AVAX gas fee for on-chain registration, otherwise registration will fail. (Gas fee is NOT charged by DoraHacks but by the blockchain)

3. If you already have a BUIDL project on this website, choose from “Existing BUIDL”.

If you’re new hacker to DoraHacks, please click “Create a new BUIDL to apply”.

4. Fill in the form to offer the information of your project.

5. Once you’ve filled out everything, click on “Submit”. **Please do NOT skip gas fee**, otherwise your project cannot be submitted successfully.

You will be able to see your submitted project on the page when the verification succeeds.

5. Filled out the wrong information? BUIDL needs to be updated? New project demo available now? Through My Account, you can easily update the information about your BUIDL so that your content and progress can be seen.

Funding Disclosure

Please take note that this is an investment based hackathon and projects will be required to commit an allocation amount in return for the investment prize pool. Therefore, before you start uploading your projects, you need to fill out the Avalanche Asia Hackathon Funding Submission Form https://forms.gle/G1gYPS7z22KQe3F99. Otherwise the project will not be eligible for the Investment prize.

Grants and Prize

Majority of the total prize pool will be reserved for the top 10 winning projects across all the sectors listed above as an investment and will be awarded based on decisions of the judging panel comprising of many prominent figures within the space. This is an unprecedented opportunity to be funded by top funds like AVATAR, Blizzard, A&T, NGC, SNZ & many more.

Also, more than $500,000 will be given to projects through a quadratic funding platform by Hackerlink where the community gets to decide who gets funded with their votes.

There will be multiple quadratic funding pools where the community can participate meaningfully in this Hackathon by voting for projects that they think will benefit the Avalanche ecosystem most and be potentially rewarded for it so stay tuned!
