What is BSC Grant?
Binance Smart Chain (BSC) will launch its first $50,000 Quadratic Funding Grant Program on DoraHacks’ blockchain developer platform HackerLink to support early-stage developer projects. Developers from all over the world can submit new projects based on BSC via HackerLink to apply for the grant funding from BSC. BNB holders and BSC community members will be able to directly get access to early developer projects and support them!
Inspired by the Quadratic Funding algorithm introduced by Vitalik Buterin, there will be two grant pools — the community contributor pool and the sponsor matching pool. A $50,000 matching pool for this grant round has been donated by Binance Smart Chain Foundation, and distribution of the matching pool will be determined by quadratic voting results from community contributors. Therefore, all community contributors will have a direct impact on the allocation of the $50,000 prize pool.
Anyone can use BNB to vote for projects and teams you like and you think have potentials, and these BNBs will also be directly donated to the projects. Each vote will change the allocation of the $50,000 matching pool.
Voting Time：20 Jan. 2021–14 Mar. 2021 12:00 (GMT+0)
Grant Project Submission Time：20 Jan. 2021–15 Mar. 2021(GMT+0)
Project Domains：Include but not limited to — improvements to BSC’s core technologies and infrastructure, new protocols and products in Defi, DAO, NFT, zk Rollup, on-chain governance, cross-chain, etc., community-driven projects like podcasts and workshops that help the BSC ecosystem grow better.
After the round ends, there is a 240-hour grace period. During grace period, all projects need to verify identity with HackerLink. After the grace period, all projects that verified identity will be able to redeem community donation and prize pool distribution from project BUIDL page.
How to Sponsor and vote?

b. Choose “Grant” in navigating bar
c. Confirm you are on “BSC round-1” page
d. View project details and learn what they are doing
e. Select projects you decide to vote for (and donate to) and click on Vote.
f. Choose wallet (currently MetaMask and WalletConnect wallets are supported)
g. If you use MetaMask, please configure the network to BSC Mainnet.
How to Switch to BSC Mainnet on MetaMask?
- Add Custom RPC in MetaMask
- RPC URL：https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
- Chain ID：56
- Please refer to MetaMask BSC configuration guideline for details：https://docs.binance.org/smart-chain/wallet/metamask.html
h. If you use WalletConnect wallets (e.g. TrustWallet), please scan QR code and connect to Hackerlink
Enter the vote amount and submit the vote
i. Select the number of votes and vote by BNB.
The first vote of each voter for every project in this round costs 0.1 BNB. According to Quadratic Voting algorithm, the Nth vote requires 0.1*N BNB. More details about voting please refer to “Quadratic Payments”.
j. Click on the wallet to submit votes.
k. You can look at real-time voting and fund matching results on the leaderboard of Grant Details page.
l. Contributor Badge NFT

About BSC Ecosystem
Binance Smart Chain is an Ethereum EVM 100% compatible blockchain, and is very good at decentralized application (Dapp) development within many possible verticals including DeFi, NFT, Gaming, and many others.
To get a better understanding of the current BSC landscape, we divide each of the layers into the various components which we feel are most important.
If you want to know about it, please check their page here.
- Please note that HackerLink provides GitHub repo and Twitter link verification, therefore we can verify the identity of teams that have verified Github or Twitter accounts. You can find verification signs as follows:
2. Please report fake projects and plagiarism.
Please note that the smart contracts generated from the Website will arrange and transfer the donated fund, to conduct quadratic funding algorithm, and distribute contribution funds to the projects of which the voting results in favour. Please understand that the website can not guarantee the authenticity, legality and validity of the project information. Please be aware of the risks of donation and voting and made rational decisions. If there are any adverse consequences, it has nothing to do with BSC, HackerLink, or DoraHacks.
